If you run a multiples group and are not set up as a registered charity or a charitable incorporated organisational, you will need to make sure that you have adequate insurance for the club.
If you do not have insurance, you open yourselves up to personal liability and the possibility of being sued in the event of an accident or injury or any event that could have been prevented.
We do not want that to happen to any of our registered clubs so we have set up a grant scheme for clubs. Our insurance grant will pay eligible clubs up to £100 towards the cost of their insurance. Clubs must meet the eligibility criteria below.
The first set of criteria is for clubs that currently do not have insurance:
• You must be signed up to Our Best Practice Principles
• You must have a bank account for the club*
• Your income must not exceed £2,500 annually
• Your club reserves must not exceed £500*
• You must not currently have insurance
• You must not be able to use the insurance of the premises where you meet.
The second set of criteria is for clubs that currently have insurance but are due to renew:
• You must be signed up to Our Best Practice Principles
• You must have a bank account for the club*
• Your income must not exceed £2,500 annually
• Your club reserves must not exceed £500*
• You must not be able to use the insurance of the premises where you meet.

We have a limited amount of money per year to help clubs so any applications will be dealt with based on need and eligibility and will be given pending demand for the service and whilst funds allow.
New clubs will be eligible to apply for the grant once they have been running for 3 months. If you would like to apply for the grant, please download the form & fill it out.
The form must then be submitted to the Twins Trust office, together with a copy of your up to date club accounts and proof of your bank account.

If you are eligible and you receive a grant, you will need to purchase your insurance and send us proof of the insurance certificate and we will then transfer the agreed funds into the club bank account.
